Spring Showcase

Saturday, April 27, 2019 ~ 2:30pm Matinée and 7:30pm Evening Shows

Join Brass Butterflies as our students, instructors and special guests showcase their talents for you. Featuring amazing solo, duet, and group performances on aerial silks, aerial hoop, and pole, and even a couple of special surprises to entertain and delight you. Come and witness our Kaleidoscope in flight!

The Kaleidoscope is growing! This year we will be presenting TWO shows on April 27; a matinée and an evening show. Though many of our performers will be peforming the same acts in both shows, there will be some performances unique to each show. The Matinée will be family friendly and appropriate for guests of all ages. It will feature some of our younger students for the first time, with Cirque Kids and Youth Aerials group performances. Our evening performance will be parental discretion advised, with some more adult themed performances (no nudity), including a burlesque troupe being led by KW's one and only Sassy Ray.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, though tickets for each performance are limited and if they sell out in advance, there might not be tickets available at the door. Advance ticket sales end at midnight on April 26, 2019.

Light refreshments (non-alcoholic beverages and snacks) will be served and are included in your ticket price. NO alcohol will be sold or served at this event.

FAQs

Do I need to buy two tickets to attend both shows?

Yes. Please be sure to select the correct ticket for the show you wish to attend. There will be some unique content in each show, so if you do wish to attend both, you will need to buy two tickets.

Will there be seating?

We will provide some seating in chairs as well as mats for sitting on the floor. These are first come, first served. We may reserve some seating for those with mobility issues. You will have to move from one studio room to another for parts of the show (although we will do our best to minimize this). Be prepared to stand for parts of the show. If you have accessibility or mobility concerns, please contact the studio in advance so we can acommodate you by reserving seating. Our facility is fully accessible.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No. The matinée show will be appropriate for all audiences. The evening show may have content with more mature themes that may not be appropriate for children. Discretion is advised for the evening show. We ask that children 17 and under be acompanied by an adult.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is ample parking around the studio including some accessible parking. Buses run regularly to Conestoga Mall and we recommend ride sharing or carpooling from there.

What can I bring into the event?

No alcohol is permitted on the premises. Light refreshments will be provided and are included in your ticket. We suggest you wear or bring comfortable shoes in case you end up standing for some of the show.

Can I take photos/videos?

For the safety of the performers and enjoyment of the rest of the audience, flash photography is not permitted. For the privacy of our performers, video recording is strictly prohibited during performances from the general audience. This rule will be enforced by studio volunteers and you may be asked to leave if you break this rule.

If I can't take photos or videos, how will I remember my/my friend's performance?

We completely understand that you want to be able to capture and share your performance that you worked so hard to create. Therefore, we are implementing some special arrangements. We will designate a spot in each studio where, if desired, audience members who have the express permission of the performer(s) for each performance can sit/stand to video and/or take non-flash photos. The performer(s) will be able to see who is in this space before they begin, to ensure it is someone they have given permission. Brass Butterflies will also have an official videographer at the event and these videos of the performances will be shared with the performers after the event.

What's the refund policy?

No refunds on tickets, though you may transfer your ticket to another person that you know. Please do not resell your tickets online.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. You can bring it on a device. If someone else is buying your ticket and you are not arriving together, please make sure you know the name that your ticket order was placed under, in case we need to look it up for you if the check-in scan doesn't work for any reason.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, that's fine as a single person can place an order for multiple tickets. Ideally when placing your order you will give at least a first and last name of the people you are buying tickets for to prevent loss (we can look them up for you if you lose your ticket).
