NEW! Starting May 2026 Drop-in Curriculum Classes and Booking Make-up Classes Online

Spring has arrived, the flowers are blooming, and the May/Jun term of pole and aerial curriculum classess at Brass Butterflies has begun. Brand new for this term, we’re introducing curriculum drop-in classes and the ability for current clients to book their own make-up classes online (beta)! Some conditions apply. Read on to learn more.

Starting on Sunday, May 3, we will be switching over curriculum classes (8 week series classes) in Wellness Living to allow for drop-in registrations! Please note there are pre-requisites that must be met before you can sign up for drop-in classes and there is a defined period each term when drop-in classes will be open for registration.

How will it work?

Classes will run for the term, or not, based on registration numbers prior to the start of the term. During the pre-term registration period, you will only be able to register for all 8 classes in a curriculum series. On the final day of the pre-term registrations, we will make decisions about whether classes will run or not based on minimum registration thresholds for each class. Classes with low registration might be cancelled or merged with other classes at this time.

On the first day of term, classes that have at least the minimum number of 8 week registrations to run, but still have capacity on a weekly basis, will be opened up to individual class Drop-ins and make-up classes. Wellness Living settings will be adjusted so that these individual classes can be booked online. This will apply to all curriculum classes except for Intro. Intro must always be registered for as an 8 week series.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING ELIGIBILITY TO BOOK DROP-IN CLASSES: Due to the progressive nature of our curriculums programs, clients must meet prerequisites to drop in to curriculum classes.. You should have previously completed at least one full term of the curriculum level you are dropping into. Progression into the next level will be based on ability to demonstrate foundational skills for each level and will likely be more difficult if only attending drop-in classes.

Note that Intro to Pole and Intro to Aerials 8 week series will never be open for drop-ins. If you can’t commit to attending a full term of Intro, please contact the studio to discuss options which may include private or semi-private lessons.

Extra spots in classes will be available on a first come, first served basis. Drop-ins and makeup visits will be subject to the same cancellation policies as regular classes. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of your credit.

Make-up Classes

You will now be able to book you make-up classes (using a curriculum credit from your 8 week pass or membership when you early cancel from one of your curriculum classes) yourself, online through Wellness Living.

If you Early Cancelled out of one of your curriculum classes, that credit will be available for you to book extra spots in other curriculum classes for which you meet the pre-requisites, or NCEP classes, within the same term or purchase option expiry date. Please note that makeups can only be booked once the term has started and are first come, first served, based on availability.

FAQs

Q. Who is eligible for drop-ins?

Anyone who meets the pre-requisites for the class may register via drop-in purchase option after the start of the term and if there is space.

Q. Why would I book a drop-in curriculum class?

Attending the occasional extra curriculum class on top of your usual weekly class could help you to progress in your practice. If you don’t have time or resources to consistently take two or more classes per week but you occasionally want to take an extra class, this is a great option.

For students whose personal schedules will not allow for consistent attendance in a weekly class, drop-ins may be an option. If combined with private lessons, progress through the curriculum might still be possible.

Q. What if I’m brand new to Pole or Aerials? Can I do Drop-ins?

Drop-ins are not meant for brand new students. Our 8 week Intro programs are designed to give you the perfect introduction to pole dancing or aerial arts. If you want to try a single Intro class before signing up for an 8 week series, we have Teaser classes for this purpose.

Q. I’m going to miss a couple of classes in the 8 week term, should I wait and sign up for drop-ins instead of the whole term?

For the most part, it is going to be more beneficial, both financially and for your learning and progress, to pre-register for the full term. Our make-up policy will allow you to early cancel the days you’ll miss in your home-base class and book make-ups in other classes during the term that have space.

Because drop-ins will only be available after the start of a term, if a class you want to drop into fills up or doesn’t get enough pre-registrations to run, you risk not being able to attend your preferred class.

Q. How do I book my drop-in or make-up class.

Log in to Wellness Living and click on the Book Now menu and the Curriculum Class term submenu or NCEP submenu (if you want to use your curriculum credit to book a make-up in an NCEP class). If you are drop-in, select the drop-in purchase option and proceed to checkout. If you are booking a Makeup class, you should be able to register using your existing credit without being charged. If the system takes you to the shopping cart when you are certain you have a credit, please do not pay and contact the studio to troubleshoot.

Q. Can I book using the Wellness Living App?

If you are booking and NCEP as a Makeup class, then yes, you can use the app. Unfortunately Curriculum Classes (which are considered “Events” not “Classes” in Wellness Living) do not appear on the app. Please log in with a browser, either on a PC or mobile device.
