  • Brass Butterflies offers group pole dancing and aerial arts classes in progressive, levelled curriculums, with material to challenge everyone from the absolute beginner to the elite performer or athlete.  The skills in each level are taught with a focus on developing foundational movement patterns and strength, then building on these foundations in a safe and progressive manner that allows students to work at their own pace in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. Students will progress through the levels as they are able to demonstrate the foundational skills in each level and are given the go ahead to move on from their instructors. Our curriculum classes are taught in 8 week Terms where students are registered in and expected to attend all weekly classes in a series, usually at the same time each week. Though we offer supplemental stand alone classes, clinics and workshops, committing to a consistent weekly routine is the most effective way to see progress.

    We also periodically offer Performance Series classes in Pole, Aerials, Burlesque, Heels Dancing, Chair Dancing, and occasionally other styles of dance. These series are generally priced the same as our curriculum series but are outside the curriculum and culminate in a performance in a studio showcase. Occasionally we will run 12 week performance series leading up to our “big” showcases at outside venues. These are priced differently from 8-week curriculum series.

  • 2026 Nov/Dec Term Dates:  Sunday, November 1 - Wednesday*, December 23, 2026 (inclusive)

    DATES TO NOTE:

    Sunday, November 1     - First Day of Term 

    Saturday, December 5 - Aerial showcase (in-studio) - late afternoon/early evening

    Wednesday, December 23 - Last Day of Curriculum Classes

    Thursday, December 24 - Friday, January 1 - STUDIO CLOSED to allow our staff to have a well deserved break

     

    IMPORTANT NOTES: 

    • Due to the Christmas Holidays, *Thursday and Saturday Classes will only have 7 classes.  Students with curriculum classes on these days will have an extra credit to use in a make-up class, clinic, or other NCEP sometime during the term

    • DIY applications for the December Aerial Showcase will launch in the first week of October.

    • Our annual Valentines Showcase will be held at Maxwell's on Saturday, February 13, 2027 

    • 12 Week Performance Classes for the Valentine's showcase will be the November 1 - January 31 with a break from December 24 - January 1. There will be 12 scheduled weekly one-hour classes for each troupe plus some additional rehearsal opportunities in the first two weeks of February.

  • 2026 Sep/Oct Term Dates:  Tuesday, September 1 - Friday, October 30, 2026 (inclusive)*

    *Because Labour Day is very late this year, the term will start on Tuesday, September 1, before Labour Day.

    Monday, September 6 - Labour Day - STUDIO CLOSED, NO CLASSES
    Saturday - Sunday October 10-11 -     Thanksgiving weekend STUDIO CLOSED, NO CLASSES
    Monday, October 12 -     Thanksgiving Monday STUDIO OPEN IN THE EVENING FOR REGULAR CLASSES
    Friday, October 23 - Halloween Showcase at Maxwell's

    TUESDAY, October 27 - Week 8 for SATURDAY classes
    WEDNESDAY, October 28 - Week 8 for SUNDAY classes
    THURSDAY, October 29 - Week 8 for MONDAY classes
