Showcase Performance Opportunities
Showcases by Brass Butterflies are a celebration of our students' accomplishments and our studio community. We put on several showcases throughout the year. Traditionally we host a party/showcase in the studio (featuring pole, aerials, burlesque, and dance) for Halloween each year, a Valentines pole and burlesque cabaret, a spring circus showcase, and a summer showcase. As a student, there are a few different ways that you can perform in one of our showcases. You could participate in an instructed troupe (a series of classes where you learn group choreography, lead by a Brass Butterflies instructor), you can take an Act Creation class* to develop your own act with the support of a Brass Butterflies instructor, or you can apply to perform a DIY (Do It Yourself / Self-choreographed) act.
*Troupes and act creation classes will generally be run during the term leading up to a showcase. Often they will be priced the same as a curriculum series class and run for 8 weeks, and sometimes they will vary in length from 6 week intensives to longer,12 week series and pricing will vary accordingly.

“DIY” Self-choreographed Performances
Applications for DIY performances in the summer showcase(s) will open in the first week of May. We hope to be able to accept every performer who applies however, in order to keep the event to a reasonable length, performance slots are limited and we must reserve the right to decline applications if necessary.
