Showcases by Brass Butterflies are a celebration of our students' accomplishments and our studio community. As a student, there are a couple of different ways that you can perform in a showcase. You can participate in an instructed troupe (a series of classes where you learn group choreography, instructed by a Brass Butterflies instructor), or you can apply to perform a DIY (Do It Yourself / Self-choreographed) act.
Our next annual Valentines Cabaret Show, co-hosted with Sassy Ray Burlesque, will be held at Maxwell’s Concerts and Events, Waterloo, on Friday, February 6, 2026. This show will feature pole dancing, burlesque, chair dancing, heels dancing, drag, comedy, singing, and more! Will you be part of the magic?
✨💖 12 Week Performance Troupes Starting in November! 💖✨
Back by popular demand, we will be running12 week performance troupe classes for Burlesque, Pole, Chair, and Heels! 🤩 The extra preparation time makes the troupe experience even better for participants. With 12 one hour classes spread over almost 14 weeks, with a break over the Christmas holidays, there will be lots of time to practice and polish your group routine in a fun, no-pressure environment.
Pricing Note:
PLEASE NOTE these special 12-week performance series are not curriculum classes and are not paid for with regular 8-week curriculum class purchase options. These are separate series that can be registered for in addition to or in place of your regular weekly curriculum classes, and they are priced to reflect this. Those on monthly memberships have the choice to apply their curriculum credits towards the troupe and use their curriculum credits in the rest of February in curriculum classes or NCEPs where there is space and they meet the prerequisites, OR receive a discount when registering for these performance series in addition to their regular membership curriculum classes.

All troupes will start in the first week of November 2025and continue weekly at the same time until the week of February 6, 2026 with a break between December 23-January 4. See schedules for individual troupe classes below.
2024 Valentines Pole Troupe Highlights
Beginner - Intermediate Pole Performance Troupe with Sarah and Meredith
Cost: $359.99+HST (Caterpillar and Chrysalis members receive 10% discount, Monarch and Kaleidoscope members receive 20%) or register using your membership curriculum credits.
Join Sarah for a very special 12 week choreography series that will culminate in a group performance at the Brass Butterflies Valentine's Cabaret show at Maxwell's Concerts and Events in Waterloo on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Prerequisites: Ages 19+. Practicing at the Beginner or Intermediate level of the Brass Butterflies' curriculum, or equivalent. Please note the age restriction is due to this being a licensed event with adult themes.
Class Dates: Wednesdays 7:20pm - 8:20pm, November 5, 2025 - February 4, 2026 (no classes December 24 & 31)
Advanced+ Pole Performance Troupe with Jen and Meredith
Cost: $359.99+HST (Caterpillar and Chrysalis members receive 10% discount, Monarch and Kaleidoscope members receive 20%) or register using your membership curriculum credits.
Join Jen and Meredith for a very special 12 week choreography series that will culminate in a group performance at the Brass Butterflies Valentine's Cabaret show at Maxwell's Concerts and Events in Waterloo on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Prerequisites: Students, ages 19+, Students should be in the Advanced level or higher of the Brass Butterflies' curriculum or equivalent. Please note the age restriction is due to this being a licensed event with adult themes.
Class Dates: Tuesdays 7:20pm - 8:20pm, November 4, 2025 - January 27, 2026 (no class December 30)
Burlesque Troupe Highlights
Burlesque Group Performance with Sassy Ray

In this very special 12 Week Performance Series, join Sassy Ray weekly for one hour to learn group choreography culminating in a performance at the Brass Butterflies Valentines Cabaret at Maxwell's Waterloo on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Prerequisites: Ages 19+. No dance experience required. (Age requirement is due to the showcase being a licensed event with adult themes)
Class Dates: Tuesdays 7:20pm - 8:20pm, November 4, 2025 - January 27, 2026 (no class December 30)
Burlesque Act Creation with Sassy Ray
Cost: $359.99+HST (Caterpillar and Chrysalis members receive 10% discount, Monarch and Kaleidoscope members receive 20%) or register using your membership curriculum credits.
Join international burlesque sensation, Sassy Ray in a special 12 week group session where you will learn to craft your very own Burlesque solo (or small group) act. Sassy will mentor you through music selection, costuming, choreography creation and give you feedback to help you prepare your very own burlesque act, which you have the option of performing in an upcoming studio showcae. Each one hour class will consist of warm-up, dance drills, and instruction on various act creation topics, followed by time to work on your own act, with Sassy and the other students' support. At the end of the 12 weeks, you will have the opportunity to perform your act at the Brass Butterflies Valentines Cabaret at Maxwell's Waterloo on Friday, February 6, 2026, if you wish.
Prerequisites: Ages 19+. Previous dance experience in a burlesque class or troupe is recommended but not required. (Age requirement is due to the showcase being a licensed event with adult themes)
Class Dates: Tuesdays 8:30pm - 9:30pm, November 4, 2025 - January 27, 2026 (no class December 30)

Chair Dancing Performance Troupe with Andrea
Cost: $359.99+HST (Caterpillar and Chrysalis members receive 10% discount, Monarch and Kaleidoscope members receive 20%) or register using your membership curriculum credits.
This Valentine’s season, step into a space where sensuality meets choreography in our 12-week Chair Dancing Troupe with Andrea. Featuring a lapdance inspired routine that will blend chair work, floorwork, and teasing transitions into one unapologetically provocative group act. Meeting weekly over 12 weeks, each session will build toward a polished, stage-ready performance live on stage at the Brass Butterflies Valentine's Cabaret show at Maxwell's Concerts and Events in Waterloo on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Prerequisites: Ages 19+. No dance experience required. (Age requirement is due to the showcase being a licensed event with adult themes)
Class Dates: Mondays 6:10pm - 7:10pm, November 3, 2025 - January 26, 2026 (no class December 29)
Heels Troupe Valentines 2024
Heels Dancing Performance Troupe with Shayna
Cost: $359.99+HST (Caterpillar and Chrysalis members receive 10% discount, Monarch and Kaleidoscope members receive 20%) or register using your membership curriculum credits.
Join Shayna for this special 12 week series to learn a group routine that will culminate in a group performance at our Valentine's Cabaret Showcase at Maxwell's Waterloo on Friday, February 6, 2026. Incorporating hip pops, sassy walks, floor and hairography, this iconic dance style is sure to have you feeling confident and sexy. This class is suitable for all levels, including those who are brand new to Heels Dancing. Shayna will adapt the choreography so that each dancer, whether beginners or more advanced, has their moment to shine.
Prerequisites: Ages 19+. No dance experience required. (Age requirement is due to the showcase being a licensed event with adult themes)
Class Dates: Thursdays 7:20pm - 8:20pm, November 6, 2025 - February 5, 2026 (No classes December 25 & January 1)
💕DIY Choreography for Individuals and Small Groups 💕
For performers who would like to create their own act to perform in the Valentines Cabaret this is your opportunity! DIY performers who apply and are chosen to perform will receive benefits like access to exclusive performer only in-studio practice times, dress and tech rehearsals, and more!
This is a 19+ licensed event. The show will have mature themes and content.
This is a voluntary showcase performance opportunity and no compensation will be provided to DIY performers.
Though we would like to invite everyone who applies to perform, in order to keep the show to a reasonable length, performance slots are limited. Priority will be given to current students and staff of Brass Butterflies.
